In May 2010, The Indianapolis International Film Festival invited select designers and illustrators to reinterpret one of the classic works of contemporary cinema in a poster format. The posters were exhibited at The Big Picture Show at Big Car Gallery in Indianapolis, IN and auctioned off to benefit and promote the annual festival.
Our selection was Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey.” We explored themes of technology, elevation and distance, all of which are associated with Kubrick’s 1968 classic.
