We developed a series of film screenings at the Herron School of Art and Design with the goal of highlighting the influence of cinema and its role in contemporary art and design. The 2010 Film Series will start this summer with the first installment featuring selected films from the French New Wave movement.
Appropriately named, “Jumpcuts” features films that abandon traditional narrative technique in favor of greater use of symbolism and abstraction, often dealing with themes of social alienation, psychopathology and sexual love. We designed the promotional poster for the series to be used in conjunction with cards that list upcoming show times.
